Python for R Users Ajay Ohri
I think you'll agree with me if I say: It's HARD to know whether to use Python or R for data analysis. Both R and Python have facilities where the coder can write a script which requests a user to input some information. There seem to be growing interest in Python in the R cummunity. As someone who does data analysis with Python and have been diving in R lately, the situation isn't as clear cut. I've written exactly equivalent code in python and R where R was over . Or MATLAB synonymous commands in Python/NumPy. Python appears to have a larger total community of users, but R may be growing more rapidly and may dominate among those dealing with data analysis. The goal of the Dallas RUG is to help promote and advance R as a statistical computing platform. Last year I attended a talk in our Bay Area R Users Group, given by a highly insightful husband/wife team. A job board for people and companies looking to hire R users (for programming, data science, teaching).
